I am intrigued by you people who can paint something spectacular like this on the computer--it just amazes me.
Do these software programs come with some sort of 'brush' or 'pencil,' or do you use a mouse?

Knowing nothing at all about digital art, I can only offer you my initial reaction--and, that is that it really stands out to me. I think the orangey red hair and lime green background are striking. Your facial dimensions seem perfect. Shading looks perfect, and the eyes are captivating. Beautiful! Heather

Shawn, this is a stunning portrait and even though I am not a portrait painter,I can see that the bone structure in the face is good as well s the complexion. Her eyes are gorgeous andare done perfectly. There is a little pink in the whites of her eyes however, there are a couple of things that can do that! ;0.The best is the last and that's her hair,it's awesome and goes so well with the background color you chose
Everything is beautiful about this IMO
I
LOVE IT
Angelheart :)

LOL. Her eyes are a little pink because Paula and I were up all night Thursday getting ready for the big show Friday morning. :)) Thanks a million, Angel, for the super review. All the portrait tutorials say that the eyes are not truly white anyway, but yes, layers in different modes can do funny things. :) Again, thank you!! I haven't looked yet, but are you posting today?

This has a poster like quality with the nicely done wide eyes. I'm not sure about the skin tones, the shadowing is good but the face is very yellow. Then perhaps that was the effect you were looking for.

That's because it was done on white, more like a drawing instead of painted with skin tones. Just something a little different. I was more interested in seeing if I could do a side view. I thank you so much for the review, Pauline. I almost named her Pauline, and then remembered that Paula was one of my Mom's favorite names for a girl. :) Again, thank you!

I really like this one. The hair is fabulous and so is the lighting that is hitting across her face. Background color really compliments it well and makes your subject really pop out at you. Facial features well drawn and painted. Stunning piece.

Very eye catching in more ways than one.

Like the pose and play of light, the colors are somewhat discordant but then this is a substantial part of what sets off this image.

Lot of life, and a very soul baring portrait.

This is a great portait you have created, the colours you have chosen makes it very effective. Love the use of your tectique and style. And that blaming red hair makes her come alive.

I really like this one very much. The red wavy hair is very striking and dramatic. I love her eyes too and the shading on her face is nicely done. I'm not to sure about the colour of the background, if it really compliments this picture but it's just me. I'm curious is this an actual person or did you create her?

Thank you so very much, Celia! In answer to your question; I just made her up. I could look at a photo to paint someone, but I doubt very much that it would end up looking like that person...lol. I would never make a good portrait artist :) Again, thank you so much for the super review.
