Very nice up close digital creation of these lovely tomatoes. The rich colors, appeal of the green leaves and vines and lit accents combined with the shadowed accents really create an appealing harvest of color nicely framed.

I love tomatoes too, and these look delicious, wonderful painting. I just love the great details here, especially the tiny water drops on the tomatoes, outstanding work. Colors are gorgeous this contrasted green and red. Perfect contest entry, best wishes.

Hey Girl, those are some beautiful tomatoes that you have there. LOL!! It is a really nice composition, well balanced with color and content. Are the leaves totally digital painted? If so, my comment would be to not use texture to separate the duplicated leaves...it is better to change the shape, color hue, value and shadowing. Your work continues to impress me. I recently looked back on some of my earlier digitals and was amused with what I thought was so good back then. No doubt, you have the same adventure. :-) Russ PS, I see you came in a very close second to Tom..in the still life. I voted for your entry. Competing against Tom is tough...but I really thought you would win. Maybe next time.

Thanks, Russ! Yeh, I got in a hurry because I had so many other things to do, but I do know all that you mentioned. I'm going to try to go back and see if I can warp up a few of the leaves :) I may make a bigger mess than I have now...lol. By the way, I didn't want this one in top spot...it just migrated there. The only way to get it off there is to disable it. Sometimes I wish there was a way to take member cents off of something, so you can drop down when you want. Thanks for the vote in the contest. I was ahead of him for a while, but it didn't last long LOL. That's the second time I almost beat him :) We have this personal competition going just for the fun of it. Next time I'm going to keep my entry disabled til the day of the contest so he can't see what I've entered :) (hope he's reading this...lol) Again, thank you so very much for the beautiful review and tips. I really appreciate it, and I'll see what I can do to better this critter :) Shawn (a little country western slang there)
