Excellent imagery,it portrays a sense of calmness and natural beauty drawn from something that would otherwise be a hectic mess of mechanics and industry, looking at this I can almost see the workers trying to keep their eyes open as they gaze at the sunset out the half open car window, feeling the breeze cool sweat salted brows and rigid aching muscles melt into the soft fading light. My only criticism is the sun itself could be better positioned slightly behind the cranes. All in all I really loved this photo,Kudos.

I do love sunsets and this is a good one.

There is a contrast of man and nature in this shot the could be striking but the image of the cranes seems a bit small for full effect.

Another way to see it is if you used a graphic program to illiminate them from view for an even more naturalistic image. And perhaps soften the white streak to the left.

But for where you took the shot this was an awesome image.

This is awsome. Love the setting but i especially love the clouds. THey look so orange. I also like the cranes and equipment on the right. It looks really good.

This is another wonderful picture from you. I like how you caught the sun just before it would blind the camera and ruin the picture. The detail on the cranes is nice and the sky is great.

This picture is too dark. The sunset is too far gone to make this a perfect shot in my opinion. Too bad you couldn't get closer to the cranes. A shot of a crane arching over the setting sun would have been a fabulous photo.

What a heavenly picture at sundown. Love the reflection of light on the clouds, but the cranes in silhouette are just magnificent. The balance is great too. Thanks. Best wishes.

Nice shot. A little later with the intense colors on the clouds would have been nicer though. I like the cranes on the right. Keep it up.

Those clouds almost seem luminescent...the cast of light from the sunset giving them dimension with such soft toned colors. This contrasts the bottom half, the sun is sinking into, with its dark silhouette heavily weighted with the framing of hardware and equipment looking so miniscule in the scope of things when compared to the vast element of nature.

That natural line of light that streams through the middle, is an interesting, natural dividing line...which I'm sure was not intentional. There is a bit of a blinding glare off the sun. Filtered, it probably would have smoothed it out and captured some more tones from the light. Despite....I think this is great, especially upon reflecting on it.

Thankyou for such a glowing comment and i agree a filter would have been a good idea but as it was shot with a compact camera taht couldnt be helped.

Interesting idea, but the technique does not seem to be perfect. The silhouettes of the cranes could have made a good composition if they were if a larger scale. Otherwise, the image seem to lack the subject.

i see where your coming from there, problem being i took the photo from the balcony of my flat on a compact camera so didnt have the zoom lens to be able to use the cranes more as a focal point! something to aspire too though.

    thank you for your comment
