I'm with you on the infinite love of dogs (and most all animals) LowRider.
Don't know what made me pop in and find this shot of Rokki but I gotta say I'm glad I did. It's a great shot first of all, I was proudly owned by a fawn dane for 10 1/2 awesome years. I know the gentle giants well. I recently laid my 16 1/2 year old black lab to rest (Jan 2, 2006) and am still heartbroken.
Your notes, as always, bring smiles (and this time tears too, it's good tears tho). I love the visual of Rokki leapin' into the jeep. The blessing of being there for their last breath is one that only a few of us understand, and I do.
Rokki, Ruger and all before will be in your heart forever.
Thanks for the wonderful view and read :)

Such beautiful words Mutt, I am so very sorry about your black lab, so sad---yes,I still miss Rokki and Ruger so much---hubby been after me for years to get another dane, just was so deeply attached to my last two big guys can't see me with another---hubby said still can't get used to me without my dane by my side. Yes, being there for their last breath is certainly a blessing, was with Ruger also, even though you never get that picture out of your head it meant a lot to me just to be with them to the end---Thank you for this wonderful note and sharing your loss with me, I am very touched--I know your pain and I am so sad for you, saddest thing for me is there are just no words to cushion the grief, you just keep on keeping on. Take good care sweet lady!

Good morning LowRider, now this is why I stay on fanart. This is REAL LIFE and it is REAL GOOD. I very much enjoyed your story about Rokki. I have had many animal friends over the years and they really did become a part of my family. Each one was different and very special , but you already know that.

I should say that this is another fantastic shot from you. First the composition is very good, the little flowers on the foreground frames the photo. Secondly the dog's eyes and their brilliance are awesome. Very well done LowRider.

Excellent work on this photo, Debbie. Wonderful clarity and detail. You've captured some nice texture in his fur. Excellent detail around his eyes.

Great shot lowrider, I know what it is like to lose a drea friend as you can see my Dalmatian I lost in Jan in my portfolio. The lighting is perfect on the old babies face, and the setting is so natural. Focus is very sharp. Thanks for sharing. Good Luck

Great shot. The exposure is spot on as is the focus. The look on the dogs face shows he is very attentive. Looks like he is just waiting for a ball to be thrown. Good job.

I think this is a great photo. Nature was working with you this day. The exposure and lighting are both great and your dog looks so regal.
