Wow, I love the cloud formation in this picture, especially against the brilliant blue of the sky. The foreground of the picture looks like its leading up to it giving the whole picture a nice shape. Nice work.

I like the way the road leads you through interesting textures to a distant hill. It lends to a peaceful solitude. Though the cloud is interesting there is something to this piece that seems unbalanced. -- Jackie

flat3, this is a near perfect shot. Composition is great, as is your exposure and you have achieved a great depth. The colours of the sky and clouds are most impressive. It would appear that the landscape unfortunately didn't give you much to work with. Even with that ib mind, however, the foeground, especially those extremely dark, almost black areas, might have been either lightened somehow, or avoided. In any case, this is a great photograph. Peace, Papa.

The clouds and valley really lead the eye to the central point, and the simple, natural and refreshing beauty of this photograph shines through.

Good lighting and definition, though perhaps a little cold.

Well done.

Now that is a very strange looking cloud. Is this touched up or original? The landscape itself is only average in my opinion, but the cloud gives it that extra star.

nope thats as it happened. was just walking up the hill and saw it, thought it looked a little interesting so took the shot. tried to get it again when i had climed a little higher to give it a better background but it had moved! (as they do!)

This view gives the impression that the clouds are soaring ahead to journey toward what lies beyond the road and over the crest of mountains. The blue in the sky is such a brilliant hue to capture. Nice contribution to the site.

Yes, it is a strange cloud, but also to me who lives in a tropical environment, the country side is weird, and what I imagine on another planet almost. Best wishes.

I don't want to thrash your rating so I bumped you up a star, this picture's rating (I think) teeters on the brink of four stars. I felt this picture would have been best take at different time of day, when it was sunnier. The cloud formation is interesting but I felt the sky clash with the much darker land...it actually gave this photo a depressing feel.
