Hi Linda!
This one's radiating a fine Erotic tone which I'm really enjoying,my friend! Some people 'just don't get' that, for a variety of reasons ( usually because they're just timid & have a very limited appreciation of 'art'),but I do & you obviously do too,and it's really working well here! :)
This one doesn't 'call to me' like your thrilling 'Emily' image did but it's a very Good Show,my friend!

Thank you so much Sean. I am so pleased that you appreciate the work that goes into art. And the Erotic part, well, sometimes the femininity of a woman is erotic in itself. I am glad that you like Emily too.

You're very welcome,Linda! :)

Three month's, huh I never spent that much time on any one piece. Overall this is a good quality drawing. Your skin tone on the arms and hand are great. The face is lacking in comparison, where that should be your main focal point. The definition in the eyes and around the mouth area can be improved on. The reason I say this is because you have such a good grasp of tonal quality on the center of the piece (arms and hands) but there is no definition to her teeth and eyes are focusing in two different directions. When they focus the same way they tend to seem like they are following you from whatever angle you look at a piece. I love how you left some areas on the dress sketchy showing this is a drawing. Sorry so wordy, I think you are a very talented artist. Thank you for sharing.

Wow, Mama, I am humbled. Definitely. Sometimes, we try to express a certain mood. I just wanted to express soft womanly lines. Gently gaze. Nothing erotic or demanding. Just repose. I really didn't realize that her eyes were focusing in two different directions. I will study my work a little closer to see if I catch all the defects you have found.

I was drawn to this because it looks like one of my sisters. I wasn't trying to focus on any defects or looking to find fault in your piece. I have been able to draw since I could pick up a pencil and tend to see things others miss. Drawing & painting of the eye is something that comes very natural to me. When I noted it here I only meant to show you how you good grow even better as an artist. Respectfully - Diane

Quite dramatic and beautiful. I don't think I would change a thing here. Beautiful work of art! I like the fact that it is sexy but not lude or provocative....the woman has just a hint of allure and "naughty". Beautiful eyes as the center of focus. Thanks for sharing.

Linda, I go looking for your work and here it is. Absolutely stunning and your work sure paid off. I just love it. Such intricate detail and talent. Love the angle. I'm thinking of taking up some other forms of art other than photography, you truly inspire me.

Dearest Danrae, I am so humbled that I can inspire you. Oh please, take up art. Photography is a true art form, but maybe you could draw of paint too. God bless.

wow, Linda. you continue to blow me out of the water.
this is truly remarkable - it has the detail of a photo but the special qualities only an artist can give

You sure got the contrast right on this one! Excellent work! Now I wonder about whether the image needs to be flipped to the right, i.e. her position is hard to determine. I am guessing she is prone on a couch or settee but them her feet are obviously off the couch or settee, as if she didnīt know if she was coming or going. A tad of a puzzle as the viewer keeps wanting to change her position or tilt oneīs head until it makes more sense. Am I just being dense? ... answer: probably :)

Oliver, you know that art is in the eye of the beholder. She is on the ground, and the dark space you see is the ground. She is set back in the frame to give this picture a different look.

Thanks for explaining... it makes the work more enjoyable as a result!

Three months? Is that all? The detail must have taken forever--well worth it. The smoothness of the face and the look in the eyes are super. Don't know if you'd consider this a complement, but the detail makes it almost look photographic. A pencil? How do you guys do it? Great job. Cheers.

the FAR audience is sitting out in the dark waiting to see what Linda Bickston, a sorcerer of the pencil medium, will produce next. everyone is silent as the screen starts to brighten up with her awsome creation. a whisper in the audience of saying.."look how detailed and real the eyes are!" more sound effects start to rise..a lotta ahhhhhs...and ohhs as the viewer see the perfect form and language the young lady so well done. the facial expression so perfect. the shading so outstanding that it enhances the depth so well to make this appear to be more like a photo than a simple pencil creation..man how she waves that pencil one and make the paper come to life..still a disbelief in the audience as it is overcome of assurance that thisis a real awsome creation that can done by a mere pencil.then one clap..followed by many more as the audience starts to stand while clapping intensely, whistling and shouting praises at the creation.. the overall image is so well balanced and very eye pleasing that the audience cries for more while throwing roses on the stage!...take bow linda..u do deserve this praise for this superb work..wink. (standing, clapping and cheering) woooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
