My guess would be a sandpiper but I don't know much about birds. The run along the surf and search for morsels. I've seen the same bird in Mexico and have a few shots of them running along the beach just like this one. Thanks for sharing and someone with give you a whole lot info soon. Thanks for sharing.

I would definitely crop quite a bit off the bottom. The bird is sitting too much in the middle of the image. Apart from that is this a lovely photo. The bird is nice and sharp showing good details in the feathers. The colors are lovely, and the use of light is very good. When cropped, it is also a very nice composition with good DOFF and balance.

Not sure what the bird is either, but does make a nice subject on the beach. Would suggest to try cropping this image to enhance the placement of the subject. For instance if you crop the right third of the photo, so his beak was just at the edge, it would give the effect that the bird was in search of food or moving from left to right.

I think we call them Dippers over here. They can be tricky to capture as they are very quick little birds and don't often stand still. You must have used a fast shutter speed to get this - helped by good light. The result is a nice shot. Lovely placement, nice focus and good uncluttered background. Well done

Thank you so much. You are not the only one that said it was a bird, I don't think they were joking.
