Looks like you have had double the fun presenting it. No boo booing this capture. The cardinal seems as if added, but your notes say the Titmouse. Your "BOO!" has not worked with the 'cardinal'. No cardinal sin committed though. All in good fun!

A nice shot you created here. Willie, it is a technical skill you display here.

Your focus is good, the exposure seems good too.

They might not come back if you keep scaring them.

Thank you so much. They are so used to eating there I could shoot at them with a gun and they would come back. It is a funny sight to see them as they fly. They don't know where the sound came from, all they know is get some gone! I guess my sence of humor is a little mean.

This is a nice bird photography. You have composed it well. Both the birds are shown in an interesting way. I love the red dress of the cardinal and the headgear of the other. The sharpness is impressive. The light and composition are also fine

great story, though it looks like the red bird saying boo to the blue one. Focus on the blue bird is nice, but a little soft on the red. Nice story telling ability on this one.

My reviews are set with "Blinders" which means the names of those who are being reviewed, are not shown.

Thus the reviewer does not know who the artist may be or if they are one of my Fans and so am not influenced by reputations of the artist. That way you get a fresh review or your work, as each piece is a new challenge.

This is a really great catch, with the birds wing spread, and the Cardinal whose feet are not on the stump.
Your work could be improved with a slight change, like sharpening. We always used to say with slide film, "Expose for the highlights, and let the blacks fall where they will." You have good exposure.

The tonal range is Fairly good. Like the yellows, greens, browns, reds, blues and blacks, a good eye for composition.

Highlights are good without being blocked.

It has good mid tones, and some darker areas with detail. Includes blacks without detail, which gives it a great contrast range.

Sharpening could be improved. If you have an editor like Photoshop or Gimp (the latter is free on the Internet) Use the "Unsharpen Filter" first slider set to 20, second one set to 100-175, third no more than 10. You could try that on a copy, and see how you like it.

If you like it better, click edit on the image in your Portfolio, then change to upload the new version. If you do this, let me know, and will upgrade this to at least a 5.

Keep working or learning more and a year from now, you can be surprised at the difference.

Some say they would not change the way anything was captured in the camera. They think of photos like a Journalist does, only recording reality.

Artists change anything which the creative side of their brain, motivates them, to express themselves in their images. They put a part of themselves into their art.

They communicate things, that no straight photograph ever can. If we communicate our feelings to one or more people, we are successful. Money is not the measure of success to an artist.

Nicely done. Love the contrast between the two birds, one red, one blue. If you didn't mention that you had cut and paste, I would have never known. Great shot(s). Thanks for sharing.
