This is amazing.

Your talent is off the charts!

i love the rough vintage appeal of this gorgeous art piece.

Perfect shadows across his face, nice black and white background.

Gorgeous!

Its a wonderful painting. You have a good eye to see fabulous things. Those chairs are painted in a wat that makes them look as if they were actually in front ofhim. But you can then see that the arm is actually on the chair. A talented artist. I like your inclusion of the plastic covered picture on the wall to show this is a photograph of a painting. Good light and focus on the painting. You have captured it nicely so we can enjoy what you saw

Nice story behind the picture. At first when I saw it I wondered what it was doing on the photography side. I have done this before and gotten wonderful picture. The focus, framing and lighting is very good. Thank you for the explanation.

Nice portrait of the artist with good impact and nice detail. The composition is good and the filter you have used here has worked well in your favor.

Thanks for sharing.

This is an illustration of a good composition. Even the strong lines lead my eye around the image from one interesting point to another..

Some might think say the range could be improve, there there is too little or too much contrast, but it is really great for this image, if anything can be perfect, you achieved it.

Biggest problem for artists, is making their art in a photograph, look its best, you have done well, would not change a thing.

As Ansel Adams or Edward Weston and many others have said, "80% of really Great images are created in darkrooms." Today, they would be saying in Lightroom or Photoshop and you have an example of good post processing.

About 90% of the images we see in FanArt could be improved with a course in Post Processing, sometimes only a tiny alteration, can make a dramatic difference...

Happy to enjoy one that is in the top 10%. :)

Overall, you accomplished something very good. The highlights, middle tones and shadows, are very good. Probably they could not be improved.

This fits my "personal taste" and others might not like it, but Id not change it due to negative comments. If we do, then the ones who like it, will not. We cant please everyone, so its best to just please ourselves.

I had to think a while if this was a photo of an actual person with an effect applied or a picture of a painting.

Oh man!, I don't have a 6. This is a 6. Beautiful macro.

Wow! Someone is a great painter. If I walked in there, I might jump thinking he was real. That would be something to see in person. The picture wrapped in plastic is a little distracting but I know that's not your fault. I do think you could crop out that frame and you would still have your main theme, the man.
