It really fits the Title.
The quality is a five. When photographing glass, photographers use a tent. A good way of creating one, is with an old sheet. Cut a hole in it, put the lens through and hold it on with a rubber band. Prop it up in the sides of your subject, and shine lights through the sheet. It eliminates a lot of the specular highlights. Which take attention away from the rose.
Your idea of less is more, is excellent. With lots of roses or anything else, "you dont see the rose, due to the forest." :)
Keep originals, practice working with a good editor like Photoshop or Lightroom and in a year you could be amazed at what you could do with the same original. Ive been going over my old shots, some from 20 years ago. Technology was not as advanced then, they make much more impact today.
It looks really good on my monitor which is calibrated for printing on Fuji papers, so it should make a really good print.
It has a Impact.
It has a good tonal range, from blacks without detail to detail in the shadows, bright colors and white, to specular highlight in zone 10.
Good composition, with strong point of interest in content.
You might improve it, with some post processing and sharpening. With digital, we lose sharpness in processing. A final sharpening might really make this pop. BUT, if you like the softer atmosphere, leave it alone.

Nice shot of bowl and rose. The simplicity of it makes the shot. Like the bowl reflections. Nice fading, colors, clarity and good rose details. 'Enjoyed.

Not just a rose
A very beautifully composed rose
Nicely done
I see that you are experimenting or is it just too cold to go outside?
Great technical expertise
Enjoyed
