I loved this photo, but either the mother has had a very bad life, or as I suspect, she may be the grandmother. Am curious as to their ethnic backround as perhaps they could be Nepalese, or perhaps they are an American Indian type family. Have no idea as come from Australia. Would love you to tell me though. Best wishes.

This is a (fantastic) photo with a story. A photo that needs more information than the obvious title. I recommend inputing more information so that the reader can enjoy the photo for what it truly is and not a testament to your photo-taking skills because art, and especially photography, is very much more than that.

Nice choice of sepia toning. It really helps this picture. I would like to have seen the mothers or is it grandmas face. Keep up the nice work.

Just a beautiful shot, tanu. You capture humanity in a touching light. This little child's expression of concern makes him/her look so wise beyond years. Such beautiful detail in the child's guardian's garment; such a gentleness found just in her affectionate gesture of a caregiver's touch...powerful love not said, she doesn't even have to be reflecting down on the child. Those are the touches that create a soulful piece.

Just as you bring so much depth and potential for contemplative reflection on this shot with your mastering of lighting, so do you deliver to so many, life that exists beyond one's own, sometimes, limited scope. Nice contribution to the site.
