Painting is successful in conveying the
empty mood of the airfield.
It is such a huge space...it has not been
used for any purpose...since WW2?
It is hard to tell from scan, but it looks like
you have birds flying over in a "V" formation...
nice touch.

Gosh, it does look like a deserted, ghostly place with history, withering in mediocrity as it is forgotten. We have one in my small coastal town too, in Australia, and it is similar. Can really relate to this. Best wishes.

I actually thought this was a photo-it's so clear! I love the contrast between the straight and symetrical lines of the airfield and the rounded formations of the clouds. Great choice of colors to enhance the realism of this piece. Beautifully done!
