I like the green background, framing the bird. Excellent focus shows good detail in the eye and the feather. I like that the bird looks like it's interested in the photographer. Good diagonal element formed by the position of the bird's head.

Very great capture. I don't particularly like that the male cardinal is so much more beautiful than the female. It just doesn't seem fair. The focus is great. You can see his feathers very well. I like the background color you have used. I like that his head is cocked to the side. Great capture.
