"The word Arjuna means, 'one who makes sincere efforts', and the word Krishna means 'the center of consciousness'. One who makes sincere efforts inevitably obtains the knowledge that directly flows from the center of consciousness" - from "The Perennial Psychology of The Bhagavad Gita" by Swami Rama.
The Gita is manual for enlightened living only when studied as a dialogue between the limited ego self or mind (Arjuna) and the Supreme Self or Consciousness (Krishna), as taught by the many yoga schools.
What I like most is the center shield, it could be a giant ancient wooden chariot wheel (Krishna, the charioteer, reining in the mind (the chariot), the senses (the horses), the reins(the knowledge); or a battle shield, portraying the battle at Kurukshetra ( the field of action), the internal conflict -and Gita, the shield, the knowledge or accumulated wisdom against this conflict. It could also be indicative of the karmic cycle set in motion by our actions, through ignorance, hence shielding us from such actions being perpetuated.

I am amazed at this abstraction along with the interpretation of the Gita. The colors and shapes seem to connect so well and my eyes are wandering from one corner of the painting to another, trying to relate to what is being portrayed, stunning!

Seshardi, the history you always provide with your work is fascinating to me. This painting is beautiful and thought-provoking. The colors are beautiful and blend (match) well with each other. I'm glad you have started painting again, you have real talent. I see that there is a "branch" that leads from the center to each animal. The center of this painting is so detailed and done so well. Fantastic!! Thanks for sharing the painting as well as the history.

Beautiful work Seshadri! I love all the rainbow colours which are so symbolic of hope and promise. The light in the center of the work is a wonderful reminder of the divinity that is always with us and also a great reminder to always mediate and pray. Lovely work!! - Joyce

I love the image. The smaller images looks really great. Some better than others because they don't show up. I love the elephant. Great design and as usual great color. I love the inner circle. Great texture. Pat
