I so love unicorns and fairies! this is so nicely done! I love the colors you have done, so soft but yet vibrant, it gives a very mystical feel, the horse, you can see the muscle structure, the girl is just so sweet, she looks so beautiful, great job!
Very good idea but I think it would be much better to make this women a little younger? and to pay more attention on details. But it's just my opinion)
LOL... Yes, this painting is repainted. I did not like the face either. The second one is little better, but still not quite to the lavel. I may repaint again one day. Yasue.
never saw this one.to me one of your best.initial impact is of "alice in wonderland".magical/colorful/benevolent in every way.crisp clean shapes and colors.designing this shows detail and genius.skills displayed well.
Thank you, Jerry. This was a quite old painting. I was so detail oriented then, and took me about 4 - 6 months (I am working) to finish off a painting such as this. I think I am moving on from this style, as I want to paint more freely. Yasue.

funny you say that...there are things from my older paintings that receive more favorable reactions than newer stuff...don't be so quick to leave the past behind...see how you feel inside about the earlier stuff...

Yes, I am not giving up 100%. I will go back from time to time. But I am much happier now. My current focus is more expression in color instead of details (e.g. proportion of each shape). I feel more freedom in doing so, and my inspiration and intention survive better in this way. In other words, I emphasize in more expression than technique.
Well... I´m not the best person to make reviews of fairies and angels because I just LOVE them! :D
Your fairy is sooooooo sweet.

Yasue - this is sheer perfection! I have just been catching up on some of your work since I have been away for a while, and you just keep on outdoing yourself. How large is is your original of this? It must have taken an eternity to get so much detail, but it was well worth it. No joke - if I had a little girl, I would buy this from you for her wall - I like it that much!
Thank you. This is quite big (~24x30). Yes, this took long time to finish. This is one of my old paintings and I had painted in very details then. Now, my style has changed. My style is changing every time. Yes, I should paint something like this sometime. I like this too. , I am very sorry for a late reply. Yasue.
It seems you are always posting something amazing and many times I am drawn to a piece to find out it was you whom created it. This is intricate, brilliant and comes from deep wells of creativity and thought.
Amazing work of art! Excellent creativity of presentation. Beautiful color harmony. Dramatic center of interest. Exquisite technical excellence. Clear technique. Abundant story telling ability. Excellent lighting. I give you top ratings. I love this picture which makes you feel you are there with the dragon, I applaud your work.
lol... thank you very much for your confidence in me. As art is so subjective, each falls in different opinion. But I am glad you found this to be attractive. Yasue.
Just beautiful, MinoYasue! I love dragons...even more, the fantasy flutters that bring out the rich golden tones and sense of flowing movement and the varied textures and lit glow throughout. Beautiful creation.
Thank you very much for an exceptional score. This was a designed for a book cover for the fantasy theme. I still had great time making this. I am grateful for your interest in my old postings. Yasue.
