I love these fellows, with their huge voices..ours should be back here about the 23rd of April, I can't wait. Your wren has a bit different markings than ours..this is simply in all ways from composition to detail..a beautiful shot of this scrappy little guy. Donkeyoatey

How do you do it?! If they are like our wrens, not only are they tiny but they dart around all over the place. To get a sharp image at this distance is amazing. I would have thought you'd need at least a 400mm lens! Well framed, nice colours and good plain background.

Thank you so very much! They are small and they dart around but when you are close enough you can get good ones!

Very sharp! You must had a high ISO for those settings. Great details. It sound like the mockingbird that we have in the tree in our yard.

Thank you so very much! I had it set on aperture prority the shutter speed wold float and this iso on automatic. I was trying to increase my depth of field by using a smaller aperture. I was pleased with the results. I have tried all sorts of settings, I was moving the iso all over the place with different settings, this one seemed to work best!

Nice, Willie. Posted a bird for you too!!!
You clarity and definition are, as always, amazing. Trying to shoot birds gives me a new respect for your talent.

This is an excellent picture of this little wren. They do build in some interesting places. We have one that keeps getting in the garage. We keep trying to keep her out. She usually wins and we have to leave the garage door open so she can get in and out. I am amazed that you cold get so close to get a picture like this. The detail is awesome Everything about this picture is excellent. Just a beautiful picture.
