Good focal sharpness of the eye and head but I think the DoF should have been a a bit deeper in this case. The limb in the background would have been sharper and provided an anchor for the bird.
Color is very good as is the clarity of the head. Visual capture and hold works well because of the clarity of the eye.

Your bird photos are always so clear and detailed and this is no exception. The colours in his feathers and their details are so well captured. Really good focus around his eye and beak. Great framing composition.
