Sort of like furthering my education:) Very nice presentation, if not a little tricky. Using the lighter shade of cream for the background shows good contrast allowing the flower to still stand out. Great detail. Lighting and exposure are perfect. Very creative composition. Thank you so much for sharing this Annie, and the information re: carnations.

Wow, Annie, you are so right about there not being carnation images - I always thought they were rather boring and hard to photograph - you have sure changed my outlook and inspired me again. This is really "heavenly". Your lighting is so perfect and your comp is great with the green leaves to provide some dark up against the white. It is just beautiful and a very impressive image. I love seeing everything you post right away and they send me a note - thanks for your artist notes - that new lens is a winner in your hands! Sarah

Really gorgeous carnation this on. Love the subtle shade of yellow in the petals, along with clear and sharp details. You can see the clear water drops on the side as well.
