Beautiful shot. I wonder if they pass through Arkansas. Would love to see one myself. I had some purple finches pass thru about a month back. Anyhow sharp focus with a wonderful background blur to make the bird standout. Thanks for sharing.

Pretty, pretty, pretty! I've never seen one of these, let alone heard of it before! Fabulous colours and markings and you have captured it well. Nice focus, good exposure and nicely blurred background. Great interest in this picture - a real collectors piece. (when are you off to the Big Apple?)

Its a wonderful capture of a bird on a branch, especially capturing the bird with its beak open. The bird does have distinctive markings and you captured them well. There is good sharp focus. The photo was nicely cropped so as to create a photo with good composition. The bird has good balance, and so does your photo.
