Good capture of this attractive bird, not one we have here in the UK. Love the 3/4 profile, the angle of the branch, texture and colours of the feathers - just a slight pity you didn't catch the whole tail and feet.

Very good texture in the feathers. Nice quiet bg. It would be extra nice to have a spark of light in his eyes. Very clear focus and excellent colors. Nice image. TY dave

A lovely image well done. Love the colors on this bird very eye catching well done. great details and focus. BG is well blurred very nice. Great lighting and colors. Overall a wonderful image and good timing to get it while he was eating, nice. Thank you for sharing.

Great photograph. I love the detail and focus. A really rich piece!
Your balance of tones works well here, and there is a great contrast to the piece; the result of of the division between the birds black and white feathers. Still, you get credit for the photograph so thumbs up to you (and a little pat on the back for our friend here, he posed well).
The colors here really work, especially the little splash of red against the green background. Opposite colors really add depth to a picture, so this was a lucky break.
I see that you adjusted the contrast, I like the minimalist approach but I think that the whites of the birds feathers come off a little grayed. Maybe add a little more? Or touch up the brightness just a hair? Not that big of a deal and certainly doesn't warrant a deduction of your rating, but something that caught my eye.
You took a great shot here, good luck in the spring contest and keep that camera handy. I have a feeling you have quite the collection of photographs ahead of you.
