You for sure picked a lovely background for these colorful birds. They really stand out against the grey background. You have used the light well. The birds lacks a bit of sharpness an definition. Also think this photo could have done with a tighter cropping to bring the birds more forwards. Still it is a nice composition with good DOFF.

I really like the Lorikeets against the brownish bark of this tree.

Victoria Park is wonderful (I've been there twice) and has so many picture taking opportunities.

There isn't much I'd change in this shot...maybe the highlight to the left of the birds could be toned down a little but otherwise exposure is good, composition is good, DOF is appropriate for this shot...very nice!@

Thanks for your comments - was that the same Vic Park you visited near Adelaide South Australia - they are currently remodeling the park and fortunately leaving the old trees alone.

It almost looks intentional that you went with a grey background just so that the bird's extremely beautiful colors would stand out. :) Great story and photo. Thank you for sharing.
