Thank you so very much! I was eighteen when I killed my last rabbit. After shooting it I picked it up and looked at it and I felt sorry for it. I have not killed anything since! I have killed a few doves but mot many! They are very hard to hit. I have taken a lot more pictures of them!

Such a clear, crisp shot! This bird has a lot of character and looks as if it is posing for you! I love the colors, especially the nice green in the background, the blue around the bird's eye, and the pink feet. The branch on the right, although it is distracting, adds to the composition and enriches it. Nice photograph!

What a lovely shot of this beautiful bird. When I was a kid I did hunt pheasant with my Dad. I got one once, much to his surprise. I can't imagine trying to hunt something this small. I don't hunt any more, but I respect those that do, as long as what they hunt is used for food. If they do it just for "sport", not a fair hunt, or don't use the meat for food, then I have a problem. This bird is so pretty, and I have heard them on many occasions. They do have a mournful sound. The blue-grey of the beak sort of stands out as does their large dark eyes. the bright pinkish-red of their feet makes a wonderful contrast. I really like the cock to his head. His body has such a soft almost pastel color to it. A really nice photo. The focus is great.

Oh this is a lovely capture of the mourning dove. I do not like that they are hunted. I had a pair in my yard for years and years and they were so gentle and sweet. You have captured those qualities nicely in this picture. Great focus and color too.
