Good initial impact. Good focus on this Monarch Butterfly and good lighting. Good color harmony. Like the view of the many small white flowers. The clarity of the veining is the center of interest. Good composition, cropping and framing. Creativity in title, presentation and artist's notes.

The butterfly is nice. However, it lacks detail and the background is a bit distracting. Moreover, some of the white flowers are blown out. If these are corrected it will be a much better picture.

Thanks for your comment - there were no white flowers at the base of the butterfly so difficult to correct - also interesting the star rating you gave as according to the suggested ratings unless the picture was exceptionally poor you would not rate that low. I wanted to see what type of photos you had to get a better view of your peer knowledge - that was difficult as you have not posted any.

a nice phot of the butterly. they do tend to move rather quickly. the photo is nicely focused and the details are okay. colors are a little flat, but the lighting is good.
