I like the natural look also. Very nicely composed and focused. He looks very happy even if he is moving slowly. Nice job.

About the only animal that I know of that might be a good HDR subject when active. Just wish that you had used a multiple minute exposure so we could have some motion blur to show the immense speed these demons are capable of.

Good focus/sharpness and fits the rule of 1/3 s for composition. Like the pose, good earth tones and effective lighting.

Nice shot with a nice story and clear COI. The DOF is fine with good color, composition, and lighting also.

Good initial impact. Good focus and lighting. Good natural harmony. The seldom seen face of the tortoise is the center of interest. Good composition, cropping and framing. Good technique, technical skill and story telling potential. Creativity in title, presentation and artist's notes.

I really enjoyed this photo!
It looks as though the tortoise was working so hard trying to walk to his destination and then just needed a rest break!
You're right, this is such a beautiful creature that most visitors would overlook because it's not as big and powerful and full of motion like others. Yet you captured the beautiful simplicity and elegance of this creature. Thanks for sharing!

This is one of those photos that just make you smile. Great clarity right down to the expression on his face, such a determined look. The lighting is great. Thanks for sharing.
