My gosh... The use of color is outstanding,the shadows pop giving the feel of the depths within the trees. The blue sky is comforting to me way off in the distance.Its a masterpiece. Nina

You have no idea Nina how much your review of this means to me, if you had read any of the other reviews on this piece you'd see it had gotten lousy reviews, thank you so much for looking through some of my older paintings it truly means a lot

I think it works and works well! Having done alot of cloud watching in my growing up days, I can really relate to this. The figures look real in the grass. The one thing, in my humble opinion, is the sun. My eye goes straight to it because of its brightness. Maybe take it out? My 2 cents. It is your call as the artist. Well done! Very creative.

I think it works and works well! Having done alot of cloud watching in my growing up days, I can really relate to this. The figures look real in the grass. I like this, but I think you should change the sun. It looks more like a planet. I love the grass and the trees and the people on the ground. Maybe make the birds a bit smaller and don't put them in a perfect line. Love that sky!!

Thanks Norma, so far the over all opinon on this piece has been a big thumbs down LOL at least you said not to put the birds in line Nancy said she sees birds in all my pieces and wants to take a gun and shoot them LOL. at least you like the sky thats something anyway LOL gee and I just got my ranking up to 10th place and had to blow it by posting this piece now I have to come up with something really good, can I steal one of your pieces? LOL!

Why not just do a tiny bit of revising? I revise mine a lot if someone says something about it and I just happen to agree and can fix it. :)

Good initial impact. Good focus and lighting. Rich color harmony. The cloud gazers become the center of interest. Like the birds. Good composition, cropping and framing. Good technique, technical skill and story telling potential.. Creativity in use of new purpose for the background.

If this was described as a fantasy piece, I might have scored it higher. However, the picture lacks realism. The eagles are not drawn to scale and are too large for where they are positioned in the background. You have three trees that look behind the sun, yet the sunlight is not illuminating them. The sun is low in the sky. Therefore, the trees in the foreground should be casting longer shadows. The colors are nice. The people laying on the grass are a nice touch.

I am giving it a long look and unfortuneately i say no.You have done this kind of work befor and it has looked very realistic.If I had a gun,I would shoot those birds that follow wherever you go.The colors in the work ,to me,are way oversaturated and the sun looks like a huge marble.You are much better than this.

thank you so much Nancy for your honesty and the fact that you want to shoot the birds gave me a good laugh. thanks for giving me the benifit of the doubt and still rating it wiht a 4 1/2 stars instead of a 3 which was my first review on this piece guess its pretty poor at that LOl
although you at least explained yourself
