I have the same challenges you have with spider webs. Maybe controlled lighting. In my country, U.S. photography stores offer one day workshops "just on lighting " where you stage an area by bringing special portable lights to focus on a subject to get the most desirable shots.
This one is not bad; I can see it plainly.

Lovely, artistic and a brilliant capture. I love the fact that its greyscale and the intricacy of the webs is so clear. There is slight overexposure in the sides but this might be due to contrast variations while editing. The angle is very interesting. Sometimes we have to let go of certain technical aspects to capture something like this. Maybe a little cropping may help. A zoom lens helps a lot, but there is no info on the equipment used, which always helps. Another little suggestion is to always view the image at 100% while editing because then you can see the way it has grained on increasing normal settings like contrast, midtone and saturation. However, maybe you planned the background to be grained. Its a very nice shot nonetheless and I loved it.

Very nice. I like your camera angle, shows really nice in black & white. The white on the right side is distracting - cropping it might help. I agree with you - it is a very interesting shape. Thanks for sharing it.
