Beautiful light and follow up nature study of this little family. I'm still in awe at your ability to frame these tiny little balls of energy so close up and at a stilled stance. The makeup of the nest is fascinating. Love the light that affords us rich detail and the ability to appreciate the interaction between Mom and her baby. Lovely colors!

Compositionally you have a completed piece. The color balance, tonal range and contrast in this piece all suffice. The imagery lead your eye around (and back to the focus) and your focal point is interesting and poised. Great shot. I can't wait to see what you get next!

What a fabulous catch! I love the focus you achieved on mama and the nest. I can't believe you actually caught a hummingbird sitting still. I love the framing, as well. Even shooting from the ground, this is a great shot.

Thank you for sharing this once in a lifetime event!!! I have never even seen a hummingbird nest, much moresos, this close. I can just imagine what a thrill this was to see the baby! Do you think you will see more of the babies before they leave the nest? Really well done with this exceptional and special capture!

Thank you so very much! I go to the nest every day or so and get pictures of the babies. I have the eggs and the progress. I will continue untill they leave the nest. They are bug enough now that it looks like there is no growing room. It has been a thrilling experiance!
