Oh poor little dear!! Hope you gave him a jacket!l.o.l. Hate to see an animal suffering like this fellow. Nice sharp focus on the critter with lovely d.o.f. Nicely framed to show him so nice and close. Great choice of b.w. with a gorgeous highlight in his eye. The hot spot is a bit distracting but otherwise a lovely but sad image!

Thanks for the review, yes I tried to get rid of the hot spot but found turning it to B&W was only partially successful option. Any suggestions as to how it can be achieved welcome. - Mary

I found a bit of contrast eliminates most of the hot spots, but sometimes takes the natural highlights away from the subject. I'm not great on techs, but this may help you!!

Your conversion to B&W looks very nice and the vignette enhances impact. Focal plane setting was on the money. Nice work and thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much for your review - yes I tried to reduce the white around him but thought it better than the red.

Thanks for the review - the white light was caused by the infrared and it looked better in black and white than with the red making him look a wierd color. There was not way that I was aware of to adjust although I did try quite a few things Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is absolutely wonderful in B & W. It really shows texture and tone well. I like seeing animals eyes in photographs such as the one showing here. Might be useful to say what country you took this in.
