I liked how you position yourself to capture the natural portrait using the Olympus E3 camera's zoom lens to get in close. It allows you to focus on the details of the squirrel, (eye stare, whiskers, nose;mouth and fury coat). Patience learned to grab this unique shot. No work needed. Excellent.

A razor sharp image of this mischievous creature; the details on the fur are superb. I like the crop too, the eye and the cheeky mouth are really prominent as a result. Very impressive.

What is really special about this shot is the fact that it is so detailed and so close up. You see a lot of pictures of squirrels going around, but rarely do you see one that is so in your face. I like that. Really makes for a dynamic piece, and that is important. It catches your eye and draws you in.

Great contrast and tonal range. You have some good invisible line happening. Those are lines that happen as a result of the imagery and that draw the eye into and around the focus. Here you have the obvious; the squirrels whiskers, but also things like the directional hairs on his face and the patterns in the background. And the contours of his face, all of which lead the eye into and around the piece and not away from it.

Nicely done. I see a lot of wildlife photography on this site, and honestly it is getting extremely repetitive and generic. This is a nice little change of pace. Keep them coming!
