Your background sure make then stand out. Good lighting and details. This looks like once in a lifetime to be about to follow their development.

Superb Willie, great angle for the shot, their wee heads looking out and above waiting to take their flight. The focus so sharp, detail crisp and the light perfectly illuminating their surroundings. I too would be sad to see them go they look adourable all snuggled up in their wee nest.

These two little devils do look as though they are about to embark on a journey into a bold new world. Just a wonderful photo in every way.

Thank you so very much! The amazing thing is in about 3 months they will be flying to central and south America. They will fly from here in Kentucky through Florida down to the keys and across the Gulf of Mexico into Mexico and on down and stay for the winter months. There is a lot of hazards for them and I think wind storms while crossing the gulf is their biggest threat! Spider webs also is a threat and I recently found out the praying mantis is a natural enemy.

Another very nice close up of the nesting birds. The focus is great and the colours and lighting too. As with previous shots I very much like colour and texture of the nest and its contrast with the plumage of the birds.

What a great shot. Since you were risking your life balancing on a ladder, I won't take any points off for the bright spots in the background. LOL Your focus is really sharp and it is lovely details in the birds. Nice light as well, on the birds though. Great colors. Really like the placement of the birds within the frame and your gentle cropping. Very nice composition with good balance and DOFF.
