the same photo could be taken in Eilat, Israel

good focus, colors and composition

Thanks for your review, much appreciated.

A nice photo of a camel, in a rather un-desert like surrounding!! Focus good but am wondering if a little darkening might intensify the colours more.

A whimsical, enchanting capture. It's as if the camel is done in, had it with all the hauling. Well framed, focus is good. The colors are a bit washed by the bright winter light. Overall a pleasure to view!

Colors are wonderful. Love the blue sea in the background. His head looks a tad soft and sand a tad bright, but I don't know that I'd mess with a shot this good.

This is a very horizontal photo! I like the colors and the texture in the picture. Regarding the camel, it's head is right on the horizon line equal with the sea. So, it doesn't show quite as well as it could have if it was further up into the sea background or a little bit further down into the sand. I might also suggest experimenting with cropping it so that the camel (the subject) isn't in the middle third of the picture. It might give it a different perspective without the picture being divided into 3 parts (sand, camel, surf).

Good initial impact. Good focus and lighting. Good earthy color harmony. The patience of the camel quietly waiting for the next rider is the center of interest. Good composition, cropping and framing. Good technique, technical skill and story telling potential. Creativity in title, presentation and artist's notes.

The head of the camel is soft. It looks like your POF (Point of Focus) is the blue covering. I would have re-focused and shot another one. Or another way would be to extend your DOF (Depth of Field) by shooting it over with a smaller f/stop. I like the blue of the water. You have good cropping with a good density, saturation and contrast. Very nice lighting. A real nice photograph.
Take care,
Cheers,
Bill
