I really enjoyed your write-up. I had a good chuckle, thank you. Love the eyes, even if the one on the right of the image is soft. The eye on the left is pretty sharp and makes this image work. The subject looks like it's making a good expression. Excellent lighting. You captured it's texture quite well.Good tight cropping, but loose enough for matting the image. Very good color, density, saturation and contrast. Very good use of DOF (Depth of Field). A very good photograph. Well done!!

Nice shot, which you've framed really well, the eyes have lots of impact and the angle across the composition works well. Focus is bang on were it needs to be. Steve

It looks like you were able to get pretty close for this shot. Good thing he didn't get you or your camera. They've got quite a bite. The face fills the image well and has good composition. The focus shows good detail on the left side of the image. Colors and lighting are good. Initial impact is also good. Great story to go along with the image.

Interesting .. i'm glad he didn't get a piece of you cos they can get quite nasty .. he certainly does have the "evil eye" .. i quite like the picture the way it is, but would be interested in seeing in cropped to include the shell .. good job .. jill

Oh I do like this ugly turtle, the colour blue is attractive. I would like to see more focus on the whole face but given your circumstances your setup was obviously interrupted by his aggressiveness. I thoroughly enjoyed your storytelling it explains it all. Maybe keep a little more distance in future. You can always crop out what's not wanted. What's a capture without a little risk. Lots of fun!
