Nice, good color and composition, subject with a lot of character.
Good overall sharpness with a lot of detail. The colors mesh and the sky enhances the somewhat sober appearance of the boat. I would use the clone tool to get rid of the white pieces of trash (below front of bow and at rail on the right) and crop out the things protruding into the frame at the horizon on the left.
Good story telling.

Hi,
Thank you for your encouragement> As a beginner I really value it.
Oh Man, this is wild. The colors just jump out, and the composition couldn't be better. I love the placement of the boat, with all the activity to it's side, serving as a great balance. Super job.

Well I don't know Bob. I sure don't see anything here that looks beginner to me.
This is a nice scene with the boat sitting off to the side. The scenery is pretty with great natural colors and great d.o.f. to give it a far off look. Focus is sharp although the framing a bit tight with the boat,a bit more room on the r.as. would nave been more dramatic. otherwise nice shooting!

Hi
Thank you for your encouragement and constructive comments.
Great color and detail in this photo. The red in the boat just really makes the boat pop. Interesting angles and I love the way the shore draws your eye to the boat. Only thing I might change is to crop a little off the top so that the focal point stays more on the boat and less on the sky.I love this unique view of a boat though.

I think you have a good eye for the possibilities, it's just tightening it up a little bit. To me, anyways.

With hindsight I think you are correct. This advice will help me in the future.
This photo gives me a creepy feeling. The dark sky hanging over the abandonded boat. The murkey still water and the flatness on the horizen. The effect is eerie.
