Great looking shot! Light is temporal and when the light is 'right' it is captivating and magical. You have exquisitely captured such a moment i as light dances upon soft and sensual wings of the butterfly contrasted by a deep rich darkness.Good luck in the contest.!

I like the cropping very much, it helps to really concentrate the eye on the body markings and the lovely antennae. Thebutton bush flower top is an added bonus. Great photo.

Well Willie just noticed because I gave you a 6 star somewhere before, and have been reviewing for the last 4 hours just pressed the wrong button when only the 5 stars showed up at the bottom. How do these butterflies know to land on flowers that complement their colors so well? :-) Very nice photo. Great composition, great detail, great show of texture. Narrow depth of field really makes it pop and doesn't distract.
