A good close up that works well.
The detail here is good and it is well framed to give a nice image.
Not sure about the treatment you gave it but I still love it and I think it will do well in the contest

Great initial impact. Excellent focus, lighting and color harmony. The center of interest is the up close view of the butterfly body and wing markings and flower parts. Good composition and framing. Good technique, technical skill and story telling potential. Creativity in title and artist's notes.
