Composition and sharpness are good and the colors are harmonious but rather bland as this is a subject that often abounds in color and and for a wind sufing image, the action is a bit on the dull side. I believe that a more highly cropped version of this image would have greater impact. I would also suggest aligning the horizon which has a substantial tilt.

Good initial impact. Good focus, lighting and color harmony. The center of interest is the good capture of the surfer with spraying water around and the crashing wave. The horizon could be straightened. Photoshop and Picasa have tools for this. Nice composition, cropping and framing. Good technique, technical skill and story potential. Creativity in title and artist's notes.

I am not familiar with your other attempts at these kind of scenes. This shot is well focused and exposed but the horizon is not straight and level. This flaw is easily corrected using software though so you should be able to fix it pretty quickly!
