A very beautiful digital painting. I love seascapes and this one is very well done. You have captured the highlights on the waves and given then really nice dimension. A pleasure to vie.

This is just beautiful - love the colors and the motion of the water - just perfect details in the ship - wonderful initial impact and composition - perfect technique. Just wish I had more than 5's :(

This is VERY cool! Your motion looks perfectly natural, the colors are great, and the beam of light picking out the ship is a super touch. Donkeyoatey

I have to agree with your husband, this is really beautiful work!

I love the colors in the sky, and the water and ship look very realistic.

Well done!

You are so talented. I would love to be able to do something like this. The colors are gorgeous. The sun setting in the sky is a very nice added touch. The waves are so realistic. I feel sorry for the people in the boat, though, unless they are wearing a patch.

LOL My husband builds these types of model boats as a hobby, thats why I am always prone to use one of the clipper ships if I do a seascape.
I never thought that I could do anything like this either. i just began digital art this year, I began with abstract and playing with effects and progrossed from there. I have tons of manuels whick I don't read. I have more fun just setting at my computer and playing around to see what effects I can come up with until I see something i like. I would say this painting was shear luck, but with my husbands advice as I went along, letting me know what colors would be on a boat in the middle of the ocean, and then using his help with the rigging I have to say this was more than just luck , I hate to use the word talent because I still feel I have along way to go but this is one that I am proud of, finally LOL
I can't thank you enough for the review and the rating
    I am overwhelmed

Im not an expert, but doesn't look like you got anything wrong to me! I can almost feel the water rocking the boat. Amazing job on the water, truly. Very powerful. Lots of motion. Everything else in the piece just compliments it. The beautiful sky, and of course the ship! Although perhaps the ship is the "main character" so to speak, the water is what really grabs me. And the colors.

I can't thank you enough Deb for both the rating and the complment. The boat did take me the most time, but I have been having trouble trying to get the effect of water for some time, thats how this painting started out, I was just practicing on water and threw a boat in to see what effects i could come up with when my husband said he liked it..totally shocked me so I continued working on it. Too bad I didn't take my own notes because I have tried a few times to replicate the way I did the water in this piece and I just can't get that effect again..oh well its always a trial and error thing with my painting anyway.
thank you so much again Deb

Beautiful painting. It is very smooth. Very real. The details are incredible. Almost like someone transformed a photo into a painting. Great contrast and talent.
