Ah, nice. You really made the best of the situation and came out with a neat image. I like the closeness and especially the sepia. The vignette is also nice here. Framing is great. Not sure what to improve...

This is a great initial impact image. I like the clarity and the texture of the hair.

Good composition, focus, detail and DOF. Good artist notes. Well done. Thanks for sharing.

Love the vignette approach to this photo. I feel like I could reach out and touch him. Love the texture of the fur. Very old friendly feel to this photo. Nice work!

I was going to be critical of your photo, but I did not want to make an ass out of me. So i will just say "great picture."

I like it very much. Horses, donkeys are so precious. I think they have the kindest faces and you have captured one here. I like the use of sepia. I'm glad you didn't find a butterfly and found this fellow instead.

The animal's face is nice and sharp with the texture of its coat easily seen with its eye looking right at you. Sepia works well here. The only disadvantage of cropping its ears off (with the camera or the software) is the ears of donkey's are so expressive and is the strongest identifying feature of this species.

Darling picture and well done in sepia with vignette. Great focus and crop. I love that it's so close up and you can look right into his eyes.

cute little guy! nice capture and good finish on him. sepia gives him color, yet addresses form and line. thanks for the post.

I'd say this was a very effective use of that lens. Very good pov and dof. The focus really shows the detil of the fur. Great composition and a good use of sepia. I also like the title.
