Great capture. Congrats, It must have too many hours of waiting to get the right shot. Love the colors and the overall presentation of the bird on the black backdrop, makes the bird stand out even more. Good job

thank you so very much for a great review and high score! I have been shooting them every day. I will shoot about 100 shots sometimes a lot more in a day! I have learned a lot!

Taking a picture of a flying bird can be very challenging and it requires lots of tolerance, good understanding of its behavior and willpower. Understanding of bird's behavior really counts. You have shown your expertise here. This is a remarkable shot. well done!

Hi Willie. I saw this on the front page and even though it has been recognized (and well deserved) thought I would help it along it's way to All Time Best for it deserves that recognition very much. You had a plan and it payed off big time with this capture Great stop action, beautiful colors, great composition and presentation. Good exposure and lighting. Wonderful photo and detail. Somehow my shots of hummingbirds come out looking like the poor thing is deformed or something. So patience is the key here. You did an excellent job on this one. Congratulations on such a beautiful shot.

What a magnificent shot. the bird looks like it is suspended on a wire, almost like a fake, except it is obvious that it is not. It is just terrific. the coloring i so amazing and the way you caught the wings making perfect 90 degree angles from the body and the tail feathers scooping in is just terrific. I am running out of adjectives to describe this photo. I had the rating at 5+ and the more I looked and the more I wrote, I had to change it to a 6. I am very stingy with my 6 ratings, very stingy. This photo is just so special. I like what you did to the background. Very nice indeed. It was worth all the effort you went to in capture the image.
