I think your photos are incredible. Great composition. I love how the background is just dark. It allows the details of the bird to just come right off the page. Lastly, I admire your dedication in getting these pictures. It shows!

This is a nice sharp action shot of a hummingbird. It's too bad that you didn't have a nice rim lite around the bird to separate him from the background. As it is the birds beak is lost along with some of the wing and tail feathers as they blend into the background. I would need a lot more info to help with the noise issue but my guess is that the f:11 zoom lense is somewhat responsible and perhaps the original image was underexposed. I usually shoot these with a flash above the lense which tends to fill out more of the bird and give a better exposure as well. Still it is a nice shot of a very difficult target to hit. Hummers are very fast and very small!

Another great shot of these evasive critters!
Nice colors & great contrast.
The lighting is perfect to show all of the detail!
Nice "stop motion" with the wings--not an easy thing to capture!
Thanks for sharing!

This is a terrific stop action photograph. Hummingbirds have incredibly fast beats to their wings. This capture is frozen in time without any blur. The composition is wonderful. The black background provides great contrast. The lighting is very good. the colors are very good.

What a glistening beauty this female hummer is! The ligthing on her was just right
to show off her iridescent feathers. Against the black background she just gleams.
The DOF froze her beautifully in time in perfect focus. What an exquisite capture.

Keep up the FOOD work Willie, you're really nailing these shots! Wish I had a six for you! :o) Helvi

You did a wonderful job on this one. I will have to remember what uyou did when I get back to Arizona. We have Anna's and Costa's. It is sure hard to get a great shot and nice background. You sure got nice detail in this one and the angle helped with the wing.
