A wonderful scene Mary and showing the cross as the point of interest is great! Like the great d.o.f. and the scene seems to go on forever! Nice sharp focus and lovely natural colors! Well placed in the frame! Sound like an amazing little close community!

Thanks heaps, they are very close communities in both Eden and Barossa valleys. Very strong German heritage in that area hence the great Reisling.

This is interesting the way you took it. I like the ay you see the side of the cross like this. The way you see so far is great. Is there a reason for the big stump beside it? An excellent picture.

Thanks Anne, the stump has one of the directional pointers on top showing distances to main towns and points of interest.

At first I thought the angle should have been better but the more I look at this image the more I get it
Good framing
Good focus
almost looks a bit to sharp
And need more clarity

Thanks so much, yes feedback has been that it is too grainy and a few suggetions as to how to fix so will be giving it a try. :)

A very dramatic shot of the religious cross. Quite an unusual angle to take it from too! Love your composition keeping the ground low so that the cross is the main subject projected against the sky. Focus and exposure fine, possibly a touch grainy! Good work, well done!!

Good job to get all of the cross and some of the valley. It sure is a big one. Very nicely done,but I would use a noise filter or may be it was the upload. The sky looks like there is a lot of noise in it. Thank you for the information on both of the photos. It looks like a very interesting and beautiful place.

Wow I love this shot. The presentation is very powerful for me. Colors are rich. Center of interest is this cross. Technically its ok if you look at the sky its a bit grainy you might want to denies a bit. Story is excellent always good and educational with your work. Lighting is good. What were your ISO set at?

Thanks esgjag, I tried to edit this one but don't know that I can resolve the grainy sky, the ISO was not reset from previous pics I had been taking and was a little low at 100. Appreciate your comments :) Mary
