This is an excellent photograph. Very nicely composed and focused. Lots in here for interest. Good storytelling as well.

This is quite enjoyable to look at and is particularly effective in the type of filter you chose. Unfortunately the artist notes are omitted from my view.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look through my photos and for your comments! This was orginally a color photo taken in natural lighting in a local rancher's saddle barn. The color version didn't do much for me so I played around with it using black and white, then changed to sepia, and then posterized. I'm afraid that if I ever had to reproduce it from the original I'd never get the same look again. The whole idea was to make it look old. I had one copy framed with old barn wood and it turned out nicely.

    Thanks again.

I found a photo specialist in a local college that prints my fine art photos, the ones I have messed with to make them look exactly as I intend them too. If you send something like this to a regular place such as Costco, it is likely to revert back to the original. Be sure to talk to your sources - even printing through Costco and ordering copies through the internet. You can calebrate your computer with theirs and increase the likelihood of getting what you want.

Thank you! When I don't print my own I use Mpix. I'm happy with them but am always looking for a better printer.

Great way at aging the photo, framing is done well, good subject to go with your theme, very classic look

This is a beautiful photo, amazing detail capture! I love the soft light and the place tells its own story without anyone being there.

Thank you! It was fun to wander through the rancher's out buildings and see what would make interesting photos.

Good job evoking a tack room of the old West. Nice details are shown with good lighting and sharp focus, holding the viewer's interest. A really nice effort with a pleasing result.

This is wonderful the way you have done it. I like the angle that you took this from and the way you see so many of the saddles. I like the filter you used to make this look like a painting. An excellent picture.

Thank you so very much! I was fortunate that the rancher let our class wander through his barns. It was a great experience.

This is a very neat shot of all these old saddles just hanging there, waiting to be used! I don't know if this is really an old photo ,or you made it look old,but I like anyway! Lots to look at in this old barn. Love the cobweb hanging on the horn of the top saddle! Really like this one!

Thank you! No the photo wasn't old. It was taken in color under natural light. I played with the photo in both Picasa and Photoshop. By working with the contrast and changing it to sepia and adding a combimation of photograin and posterizing I got this result. You're right there was lots to look at in that barn. I can just imagine the stories those old saddles and harnesses (not in the photo) could tell.

Good initial impact. Good focus, lighting and color harmony. Good technique, technical skill and story telling potential. The center of interest the orderly barn with neatly arranged saddles, ropes, etc. Good composition. Good technique, technical skill and story telling potential. Creative title.
