That is a really sad story my friend! I hope that your life was much better after you were adopted? I adopted two children after being an foster parent for several years! I had 5 biological children before I adopted my two youngest kids=) I am so glad that your children did not have to go through what you had to endure! This is a great reminder that there are many people out there who don't have the basic necessities of life=( Great job and thank you for sharing your story=) Lilibug6

A superb voice to this work, supported by a horrific story, that Thankfully has a wonderful out come. Your an amazing artist, now we find you are also an amazing person. I would expect making public your story wasn't an easy task. Something that struck me immediately is that while these are obviously children, they have very mature faces, faces that hold expereinces most of us here have not personally had to live through. Thank you sincerely for sharing this work! Major kudos to you as an artist and as a person. Yall be well well...and thank you for feeding our collective mind...

I really like to see these piece, they are emotional and well done with a hint of hope in the bright colors despite the dark surroundings. It strikes a chord in most because they were either in the same position or know someone who has. Very poignant work! jean

Man, when you want to make a point... you make it, with plenty in reserve. What a poignant and beautiful piece. So tragic it is hard to look at and yet it makes me want to scoop those kids up and bring them home. It is easier to turn away than to try and do something about it and I can be accused of that. What makes it even more profound is your own story. It is different when you know someone who actually went through this, who is a figure in your own life and means something to you. Damn. smh. The way you have fully colored the kids and left their environment gray and cold I interpret as that everyone has worth and "color", and some are thrust into circumstance that is so cruel and colorless. You have successfully made a point and drawn it out and colored it very well. I would give a 6 if I had one.

A wonderful message on a wonderful art work. I am happy that your survived, raised your kids right and may you be blessed the rest of your life. We were poor but had food and a warm bed. Not all children do. So sad in a day like these days, Great art here. Evern greater purpose. God Bless

Inspiring and creative piece of art. Your story made it very poignant. I've seen to many kids (and adults) like this out on the street with no where to go. The colors and shadows perfectly reflect the dark side of life that this portrays. Would love to see you do an "after" illustration. As always, your work is outstanding. Thanks for sharing, and on Sabbath Eve, I hope all our children have a warm place to stay and plenty of food to eat.

No words needed as your work tells your story so well. Good work, composed, framed and presented to show what some unfortunate people have to face every day. Count your blessings for what you have.
