I still think you pay all these birds to pose for you. This is an awesome picture the way you were able to get it so close up. The detail you see in the bird is stunning. The variety of birds that you see is amazing. This is an excellent and beautiful picture.

Guess I better invest in some sun flower seed' We have some mixed in with the other bird seed. I think we need just plain sun flower seeds. See if that works down here in the south.

All the seed eaters prefer the sunflower seed!

Pretty little bird, and as usual you have caught it in an excellent way. The details in the feathers are awesome. I can see why you thought the photo needed some extra color, because your birds are usually very colorful, but personally I think this little guy would have done well without the adding in the right upper corner. I would have gone for a completely black background. Still it is a nice composition and the placement of the bird within the frame is good.

another great shot willie, personally i would have liked to see a bit more of the bird & i feel the out of focus greenery in this one detracts from the initial impact, but what you see of the bird is excellent.

I love the coloring on this White Throat sparrow. The fine detail you've captured in the shading of his beak and definitive lines of his feathers is just superb. I have played with wireless external flash and really like it. Expect to set it up soon.

Thank you so very much! This flash is set on a trypod with a wire running to the camera! I have never used wireless!
