Tough lighthouse I might add! What a unique design but under the circumstances I can see why! Quite a tragic port! Nice shot of the beauty with nice sharp focus and beautiful natural color! Well framed, bet you neck was sore after this shot!

Thanks for your review, has a very interesting history the Clan Ranald had a large Asiatic crew that lost their lives and 21 Lascar seamen were buried in one long pit, their coffins stacked in 2 tiers, on the boundary of the cemetary, as they weren't Christians.

Sort of sad because of the religion!

nicely centered interesting shot, although it appears to be slightly out of focus, nice blend of colours, i like how it makes you want to get closer or even climb it.

Impressive structure. Intersting story. Nice colors in the structure and some interesting sky. Probably should have us a tripod as the focus on the lighthouse is a bit soft.
In you info sheet you mention Photoshop for editing. A much less expensive option is Photo-Brush which is far easier to use and will do nearly as much.

Thanks for the review, will have a look at Photo-brush as a different option. Cheers

This is a really cool subject, I love light houses. I like the muted colors and I think your DOF is good. I just think it should be straightened a bit to the right.

Very interesting lighthouse. Would hate to have to run upstairs to turn on the light.
The cropping is good.
The eye travels up and down nicely.
Thanks for sharing

Thanks very much, fortunately it is not a man-operated one but guess if it needed fixing :)

It is a very impressive structure. It sounds like the brick was a very good choice. Great presentation with a very nice sky. The path help with the composition in taking the eyes to the lighthouse. Thanks for the notes!

Very interesting story about the lighthouse. I appreciate your notes. This lighthouse has a very interesting shape to it. You photo shows of the natural color of the lighthouse well. Your photo has good over all focus, and the clarity is very good. Even at the distance you where I can see some of the detail in the brick work. Great subject matter! Thanks for sharing this lighthouse.
