A magical feel and look to this creation! Like the dragon and as you said many faces and saucers in the scene that has a remarkable d.o.f. possibly all the layers? Like the vibrancy to this image and the dragon stands out in the crowd! Amazing work and techs!

With time and patience mostly. Really, it is easier than you think but it is hard to give advise of ther how. It's a kind of tril and error, finding out what the program can do. Most is not written in books. Sometimes when I need a break I just take some colorful immages and try a bunch of distortion filters or kaleidoscope images. What looks useable I put in storage for further use.

a fantastic creation to view. i think the whole myth of dragons started with the ancient chinese stumbling across dinosaur bones. this picture is special to me as i have a green dragon tattoo on my right arm (my sign) and your one is a lovely shade, of fluorescent green; painted with such attention to detail. i would sure love to visit dragonia, maybe ask sinbad to take me on a new voyage.

You could visit Dragonia any time. Dragonia is everywhere, just go to the window, close your eyes and take a wish... Thank you for your very encouraging review. The post is a bit immaturely. There is still a lot of work, it is my first Dragon. She isn't perfect...glad you like her! I think you are right with these bones. If someone stumbled over something he can't identify, imagination fills in...The Dragon is your sign? Well The Year of the Dragon is coming up -best of luck.

Works for me, although technically I think it is digital art..but who gives a rip? I like the idea of her adventuring, and being under so many watchful eyes. I think I kayaked that island once..at least I remember the giant misquitoes! Donkeyoatey

Oh. I am sure you kayaked this island. Every artist with a bit imagination ventured there one time or the other. I almost posted it as digital composition, but I was told it is mixed media since I used one of my own photos for the background even it is not reconizable anymore.

great initial impact with the bright colouring good technique used to create a stunningly eye boggling creative backdrop, good depth using the darker patch just above the dragon to draw the eye into a highly detailed composition, you have certainly worked hard on this to achieve a superb picture story..well done

You posted this work in the
correct category.
I am giving you a five star on
this piece for the work that
went into creating it.I like
the bold colors,they catch
the eye quickly.The back-
ground is a bit busy with all
of the elements of the eyes
and planets.I believe it would
present better with fewer eyes
and such.The foreground,being
less busy is good.
The drawing of the dragon al-
though not professional is a
good amateur drawing.The legs
are a bit out of kilter in the
back and the gold glitter on
the wing is just a bit much.
Overall,a good attempt.
Best of Luck to you in the contest.
Angelheart :)

Thank you very much four your kind review. You are absolute right, this post is way prematurely; just a test of how something as this would go over on far. Dragons aren't what I usually do. I need about two more months to work it throughout. The background will probably be changed entirely. I put Bella on the cover piece were the title will go. Bella is just a scratch and has no background jet for this adventure. The glitter wasn't meant to be that way, I just hat some glitter squished out the tube when I run out of time. Well at least the thick glitter is gone and mixed in with the the wing colors after another night of work. I have the picture replaced. Thank you again for your thought review and the luck wishes. Both is very much appreciated.

Wow this is very unique! I think that calling this piece mixed media is appropriate because it is done with several different techniques. The wings are beautiful.

You're welcome! I meant to give it five stars. My computer did something weird with that I think my mouse is on the fritz. I don't think you need to make any adjustments to this piece.
reply by the author on 18-Nov-2011
Thank you :-), but believe me it needs adjustment! The post is a bit immature. Just a test drive. I haven't even the story finished jet.

I really have no idea what category you should post this under. I like your story; its interesting. Your image has much to offer the eye. One could study this for quite sometime and not discover everything it has to offer. I found Saturn with its rings in a few places and what looks like a cat. I don't know what those creatures are in the water, but they don't look so friendly. I like your unicorn. I have never seen a green one before but I like her anyway. This is quite the colorful image. Very nicely done.

Thank you very much. Yes there are a few Saturn's and there is a cat; the Cheshire cat from Alice's wonderland. The green creature as a cross breed of Dragon, Unicorn and Butterfly. The green comes from the dragon ancestors.
