Nice angle, nice background and a beautifully sharp and detailed shot.I like the way the blue shows so vividly against the green of the leaves. Donkeyoatey

This is posted under the wrong category. Should have been on the other side of the site under Traditional Photography. Lovely shot of this blue jay. The green leaves are actually a nice background. Your focus is nice and sharp showing lovely clear details in the feathers and face of the bird. Also very nice use of light. The placement of the bird within the frame works well. Your shot has almost a 3D effect to it. Really nicely composed with good balance and DOFF. Good luck with the contest.

Thanks so much. I don't know how to move it to the right category. But I really appreciate all your detailed feedback and your aesthetic reaction. (Smile)

You need to move this out of Traditional Art and put it in Photography. Great photograph and a good entry for the contest. Well composed and focused with great lighting as well.

This is a fine piece of Nature Photography. This clearly shows how we can find beauty all around us in our daily lives which we normally don't take notice of!. The entire composition, colours, light make this first rate. Good luck in the contest!

All I can honestly say is WOW! This piece is so professional and creative that it's hard to review. The clarity of the bird is breathtaking and the way you have handled the background works to accent the limb and blue jay. I also love the way you have brought into focus the foreground in the lower left corner which finishes off an artistic, creative composition. Thank you for allowing me to view and review this piece.

Cute and the colors are true to a jay! Like the pose and the natural b.g does not take away from her beauty! Nice focus with nice framing! They are stunning birds! Best of luck in the contest!

    They are stunning creatures!

The clearest point of focus is the birds wing - that is what your camera sensor bounced light from but it is also important to have an equally clear head on bird subject's. Perhaps if the bird had turned its head toward you. The ivy framing is attractive behind it.

You are right that I need sharper focus on the head. Thanks for the feedback.

Nice shot!
This is a good one here! I like the colors And I like the background! The eye is not in focus and it is a little over exposed! It is very important to get the eye in focus!

This is a lovely close up of the pretty little blue jay waiting to be fed. I like the angle you caught here. Lighting and focus very good showing great detail in its markings. Very nice composition.
