I have never seen Purple poinsettias. The coulour is vivid and the green and yellow center sets it off nicely. I like how you placed the center of the flower in the bottom third of the photo. Very creative.

You did a nice job of not only showing the beautiful color but also made it an interesting image. I like the ruffles in the leaves, with its shadows and highlights.
Your frame looks great and technically this works well.

... we do the same rituals in Germany, but all in red (I think I like purple better)
Great close-up with very good detail on the center buds, with nice contrasting colors. Very good artistic composition with vignette and frame

Purple! I saw this and thought you had altered the colour... Great notes widening my knowledge of other cultures. Like the composition with the contrasting yellow in the sweet spot. The b/g is slightly distracting but.... A wonderful shot. Thanx!

have never seen one of these in purple..didn't know they existed
wonderful clarity...we can see the folds, textures and lines of the petals
almost looks like a painting
