I would think there would be more than enough green, since it's the focal color and red is the secondary. you've captured the Christmas feeling wonderfully! Nice composition.

Beautifully rendered. You have captured the spirit of the season very well in this simple, yet eye catching painting. The colours, light and composition are all in place. good luck in the contest!

I love Christmastime so thanks for posting this beautiful piece of art! Definitely brings in the warmth of Christmas for me. I think I would have liked to see a little more green but other than that its great. Im usually a bright and vibrant color kind of person but these deeper richer colors have definitely surprised me. Great job :)

Oh this is lovely Cleo,so festive and quite a traditional look to it. Absolutely love the soft muted effect and how all the colours merge into each other. You have caught the flames beautifully. Would make beautiful greeting cards

Wow! Thanks for such a lovely review and the high rating, You are very observing. You are right. It was indeed painted for a greeting card. I was lucky. A local store ask me for some Greeting cards with multilingual writing in them.

This is so holiday-like. Love the staging, the color, the theme and how you have done it. It is quite nice. I am looking at this quite intensely. Tomorrow I take the second part of a 3 hr. intense seminar on PhotoShop as I am keenly interested in learning more.

Thank you Ramona, I appreciate your review very much. That isn't Photoshop. I don't own PS. The picture is not photo based. It is digitally;but entirely painted brush stroke by brush stroke like an traditional painting. Its just that I move the brushes with my fingers on a mouse pad. I am using an inexpensive but sufficient paint program called ArtRage. I need about 50 to 80 hours for a picture as this. It was painted for use as a greeting card.

Thank-you so much for taking the time to explain it. I won't take back a single star but should probably add a couple if I had them.
