what a beautiful work this is. you left nothing to chance. the scenery itself is outstanding giving us a good idea as to what the area really looks like. I love the colors chosen, they are soft and inviting. Thanks for sharing

This is a lovely landscape piece Suzanne with the beautifully depicted Yorkshire Dales. Lots of interesting detail, love the sheep and the shed and the way you have layered the rolling hills and valleys is excellent. You have used a lovely soft green palette and with a misty impressionistic feel this is a peaceful and very harmonious piece. Top marks!

To be honest, I rarely review artwork because I'm a photographer and accustomed to review with criteria like sharpness and detail, not painterly images. However, this painting has a dreamy look to it, like it would be a beautiful place to live and explore, as if in childhood. Love the rolling hills, rural country setting. A little bit like Colorado or the scenery in Anne of Green Gables, filmed in Canada, but uniquely different and inspiring in a way that surpasses my mundane tech review. Good job!

Many thanks for your great review. Yes, I like these water mixable oils. They're made by Winsor & Newton and are called Artisan oils. The beauty is that you don't get the smell of the turps and oil and they also dry quickly. Suzanne
